BenefitVoice
An Android product direction that speaks recognized incoming payment notifications so a Bahrain merchant does not have to watch the screen.
Overview
BenefitVoice is meant for the moment a payment arrives while someone is serving a customer. The phone can already show a notification. The product direction is to recognize the notifications that matter and read them aloud, so the merchant hears the payment instead of unlocking a screen.
Who it is for
Merchants in Bahrain who take payments that arrive as phone notifications and who cannot stop serving to inspect the device. It is not a payment processor and it does not move money.
Core workflows
- Listen for incoming payment notifications the app is allowed to read
- Decide which notifications are payment events
- Speak the amount and the source in a form the merchant can hear at the counter
- Leave a record the merchant can check later
How it is intended to work
- 01The merchant installs the Android app and grants the notification access it requires.
- 02The app watches notifications on the device. It does not sit inside a bank.
- 03Recognized payment notifications are spoken.
- 04Anything the app cannot recognize is left alone rather than invented.
Technical considerations
- Built as an Android application. Background limits, battery policy, and notification access are part of the design, not afterthoughts.
- No bank, Benefit, or wallet integration is claimed. Recognition depends on what the phone is allowed to see.
- Speech output has to stay intelligible in a noisy shop.
Availability
In development. Not a published store release, and not a certified payment product. Drawings on this page are concepts.
