Concept
Hospitality and entertainment systems
Software concepts for venues that sell time: billiards rooms, gaming lounges, and similar floors where a session, a table, and a bill have to stay in agreement.
Overview
A venue that sells time needs to know which table is live, when it started, what was added, and what the guest owes when they stand up. This product direction is that operational picture, designed for hospitality and entertainment rooms rather than borrowed from a restaurant point of sale.
Who it is for
Operators of billiards venues, gaming lounges, and similar timed-session businesses. The concept is not a hotel property-management system.
Core workflows
- Open a session against a table or room
- Track time and add-ons
- Move a session or correct a mistake without losing the bill
- Close and present the amount due
- See which stations are free
How it is intended to work
- 01Staff open a session from the floor, not from a back office spreadsheet.
- 02The clock and the bill stay on the same record.
- 03Closing a session produces a clear amount. Collecting that amount is a separate step from the session clock.
Technical considerations
- A local-first desktop or tablet interface is the likely shape, so the floor keeps working if the connection drops.
- Bookings stay inside the venue. Payment-provider processing is outside this concept.
